Embroidery for Turku — Finland’s oldest city trusts durable marking

Turku is Finland’s oldest city, and its business network is unusually diverse: marine technology and shipyards, pharmaceuticals and the Turku Bioscience cluster, port and ferry operations, a strong startup scene around Boost Turku, and the riverside restaurant culture along the Aurajoki together create steady demand for high-quality corporate apparel. Brandix delivers embroidered workwear, corporate textiles and event apparel to Turku from our Espoo studio — embroidery is done in our own production facility in Finland.

Turku is a little further from Espoo than Tampere, so the typical lead time is 4–6 business days from order confirmation. The same applies to surrounding municipalities: Kaarina, Raisio, Naantali, Lieto and Paimio receive their orders on the same schedule. Archipelago deliveries are scheduled separately, taking ferry connections into account.

We have served Turku-area clients across many sectors — marine technology, pharmaceuticals, riverside restaurants, and several sports clubs. An embroidered logo withstands the marine climate, salt air and industrial laundry — particularly important on the Turku coastline.

A 10-cap pilot and a 100-piece softshell run go through the same production process. Same quality, same finishing.

Who this service is for

Marine and shipyard industry

Durable workwear for coastal professionals

For shipyard, ferry and port operations the embroidered logo holds up to salt air, oil and routine industrial laundry. We deliver softshells, fleeces and work shirts to the Turku and Naantali shipyard areas.

  1. Pharmaceuticals and bioscience

Corporate textiles for the Turku Bioscience cluster

Pharma and biotech firms that demand a polished look order embroidered softshells, corporate hoodies and conference shirts. Cooperation with University of Turku and Åbo Akademi institutes generates steady demand.

  2. Aurajoki restaurants and services

    Restaurant workwear that lasts

For Aurajoki riverside restaurants the embroidered logo on the apron, chef jacket or t-shirt withstands daily 60–95 °C washing. A consistent look across the river’s restaurant block strengthens the brand during the tourist season.

  3. Delivery to Turku and Southwest Finland

Kupittaa, Hirvensalo, Itäharju and the surrounding region

Frequently asked questions

Do you have experience with marine industry workwear?

Yes. An embroidered logo holds up to salt air, oil, moisture and high-temperature industrial laundry, which is essential in shipyard and port work. We recommend durable polyester-based fabrics and fleece — we advise on materials with the quote.

How do you make Turku club logos durable?

We use high-grade rayon and polyester threads that do not fade under UV and do not break down in the wash. The club logo is embroidered onto a stabilized backing, so it keeps its shape as the fabric stretches — important for sportswear that flexes.

Can you accelerate the Turku delivery schedule when needed?

For rush orders we can arrange a 2–3 business day schedule from order confirmation — order size and product availability are factors. Call us directly and we will check the schedule.

What is the difference between screen print and embroidery on sports shirts?

For sports shirts (moisture-wicking technical fabrics) we usually recommend screen print or sublimation, because embroidery can create a thick, stiff area on a stretchy sports fabric. For corporate hoodies and caps embroidery is the premium choice. See our techniques page for more.

Do you offer special packaging for Aurajoki restaurants?

We deliver consistent workwear sets (apron + pique + chef jacket) for restaurants in a single order. For chains we pack the order per location, so each restaurant receives its own package without sorting work on the receiving end.

Do you also deliver to the archipelago (e.g. Naantali)?

Naantali is on our standard service area with the same 4–6 business day schedule. For the archipelago (islands behind a ferry connection) we agree on a separate delivery schedule that accounts for ferry timetables.

Can you embroider University of Turku institute logos onto academic apparel?

Yes. We have produced conference and corporate textiles for several university institutes and research units. Logo digitizing is done carefully so that the university’s graphic guidelines are preserved in embroidery as well.
